Roadtrippin’
The Nutmeg and I took off on a crazy road trip to the Woolery today. It’s about 67 miles from my house. We took a few wrong turns (thanks randmcnally.com), but thanks to some great Nutmeg navigation, we finally arrived.
Walking into the Woolery is a bit overwhelming. Wheels and spindles and fiber everywhere. The back is full of books and DVDs. I treadled several models, including a Majacraft Rose and a few Louets. None of them felt “right.” Then, I found the Ashford Joy: double treadle and smooth as silk.

I don’t know her name yet, but I’ve already got a third of a bobbin of BFL handspun.
On the knitting front, I pulled out my Woodins. I finished the log, four Woodins, and 8 leaves. I can’t wait to get it all finished and out of my queue. I’m ready to swatch for Giselle or Wicked.
